149 Fore Street is an un-listed property within the Plympton St Maurice Conservation Area. In 2010 an application was approved to construct a new room in the roof space with a dormer on the rear (south facing) elevation to match the neighbouring property, and roof lights in the front elevation facing Fore Street.This application is now to install a further two roof lights, one either side of the proposed rear dormer window, which has not been built yet.
These proposals are acceptable as the impact will be very minimal, but details of the size of the proposed roof lights will be required. We would also need details of the type / style of roof light in the form of a product sheet or link to the relevant website to ensure that the style is appropriate.
Given the position of the proposed roof lights in relation to the adjacent properties and barn, there may be some issues with overlooking, in which case obscured glazing would be advised.
