It would appear that there are currently residential units served directly off the rear service lane Glenside (which would be the situation with the new proposed dwelling). Therefore the principle of serving the new dwelling entirely from the rear service lane is acceptable. However whilst I acknowledge that there are already a number of garages served off Glenside, it is not clear whether or not there would be a minimum distance of 5.5m (preferably 6m) for vehicles to reverse back into when exiting either of the 2 proposed car parking spaces serving the new dwelling. This needs to be clarified.Furthermore I cannot agree to the creation of the proposed hardstanding at the front of number 40 Haroldsleigh Avenue as its' creation would result in vehicles parking at an oblique angle to the highway and the parking space is insufficient in length which will result in vehicles parked here overhanging the adopted footway. Therefore this element of the proposed scheme could not be supported by the Highway Authority.
