Plympton St Mary Neighbourhood Forum object to the application. In accordance with our Neighbourhood Plan made in May 2019, we support policies which are in the Joint Local Plan and not covered specifically by our own plan. In the JLP Dev 2, items 1 and 7 specifically relate to our objection.
The existing noise levels from this site are having a major impact on the quality of life for many local residents notably those who live close by. The noise levels are especially an issue during the evening and at night. This is major problem for many people, causing disturbance during sleeping hours. So, an increase to the existing number of hook-ups will only make the current problem much worse. Given the topography of the local area the noise level at night is such that it can be heard in many parts of Plympton.
We have a duty of care to our Residents to help maintain their quality of life and well-being. Before any further additions to the hook-ups are contemplated, we strongly believe that some stringent measures must be taken to address the current position.
