At present the property is served by a pair of garages with hardstanding in front of them resulting in a total of 4 spaces (which is what you would expect with a property of this size). In addition there is also an informal turning area which allows vehicles to enter and exit Tavistock Road in a forward gear.

It is noted that the proposed alterations lead to the removal of both of the existing garages with a single garage being provided as a direct replacement. It is not clear from the plans provided whether sufficient space remains at the front of the property for a total of 4 car parking spaces to be retained along with on-site turning provision? If this is the case then I would be able to recommend in support of this application. However if it is shown that there would be an overall loss of car parking then I would have to recommend against this application on the basis of a loss of car parking.
