The temporary turning area that has been created outside St Matthews School has been crucial in terms of managing the considerable number of vehicular movements generated by the school in respect of parents dropping off and collecting their children during mornings and afternoons. It is noted that this is a temporary solution to addressing a long-standing problem, with discussions having recently taken place with the primary school on other measures that could be implemented to help relieve some of these issues associated with drop-off/pick up.

On the basis of the comments made above I would not wish to raise any objections to this application from a LHA viewpoint subject to a use restriction condition being attached to any grant of consent restricting permission to a maximum length of 3 years.

The Natural Infrastructure Planning Team hold no objections to this development. We recommend the conditioning of the documents submitted. This includes proposed arboricultural protection and biodiversity protection, specifically the CEMP (biodiversity) outlined in the Ecological Appraisal.
