The NI Planning Team hold no objection to this development at Radford Castle. However due to building alterations and sensitivity for species such as bats which are proven to be within the area (reference to the Ecological Appraisal submitted under application 21/00262/LBC), we will require an ecological survey to identify presence of protected species when the application comes forward.

This will also then, dependent on survey information, require mitigation measures provided in the form of an Ecological Mitigation and Enhancement Strategy (EMES). Information such as restriction of lighting for works, time of works etc. will also be required, in the form of a Construction and Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) to avoid impacts during works.
