The natural infrastructure team's response to the discharge of condition 13 is as follows:The areas of the new proposed Slow Worm translocation sites (areas 1 and 2) are the same as the previously agreed sites but with the removal of two of the sites (3 and 4). In the new translocation plan we would expect plots 1 and 2 to have been increased in area to account for the area of the plots that have been removed. The report states that the areas will be management to enhance the habitat they provide for slow worms which will increase their carrying capacity, however the previous report also stated this. This leads to concerns that the carrying capacity for the site is now reduced following the removal of translocation sites 3 and 4. We would request that prior to the discharge of condition 13, translocation sites 1 and 2 are increased in area to account for the loss of area of sites 3 and 4.
