As the footway in this location is a shared use footway/cycleway, it is essential that it's existing width is maintained in order to allow for this dual-use to continue. However were the proposed mast and associated equipment to be granted permission then the overall width of the available space would be reduced which would not be supported by the LHA. It is therefore recommended that the mast and equipment be relocated into the verge area at the back of the footway.

I would also add that I have consulted with the Cycling Officer at PCC and he concurs with the views expressed above.
