Thank you for consulting Public Health on this development.

We are pleased to see the addition of the suicide prevention railing on the roof terrace following our comments at the pre-application stage. However, it is unclear from the current plans whether this railing will only be around the right hand section of the roof terrace or around all roof terraces. Please can the developers ensure that the suicide prevention railing is around the whole edge of all the proposed roof terraces.

For ease please find below the suggested specifications for suicide prevention railings from Public Health England:

Public Health England (now UKHSA/OHID) guidance on suicide prevention in public spaces has been published. In order to prevent suicide in public spaces they make recommendations for the design of fencing on bridges, multi-storey car parks and high buildings at least four storeys high, these should be:

' At least 2.5 metres in height
' No toe or foot holds
' An inwardly curving top is recommended as it is difficult to climb from the inside
' The barrier should be easier to scale from the outside, in case an individual wishes to climb back to safety.

Full guidance is in this document with examples from other builds.
