The proposals seek to refurbish and extend the existing Endoscopy Unit at Derriford Hospital. The Highway Authority would not wish to raise any in-principle objections to the proposed development.The proposals do not result in the loss of any existing car parking at the site and whilst it is not explicitly clear from the submission documents whether there would be a slight increase in staff, it is considered the potential increase (15 full-time and 2 part-time employees) would not lead to a significant increase in trips on the local highway network.
Any potential increase in staff and the associated impacts, such as those on staff car parking, should be included and addressed within the Trust's site-wide Travel Plan.
