The proposals seek to construct a single storey side extension, which includes the conversion of the existing garage, to provide additional living space at the above-mentioned property. The Local Highway Authority (LHA) would not wish to raise any in-principle objections to the proposed development.

Whilst the conversion of the garage could be considered as a loss of off-street parking provision at the site, it is noted that, due to its insufficient length, the LHA did not consider the garage as a contribution to off-street parking provision at the property when consulted on its construction under application 14/02066/FUL.

The proposed side extension does result in the existing hardstand being shortened in length by approximately 3 metres on the section adjacent to the eastern elevation, however the remaining hardstanding is still large enough to accommodate off-street parking for 2x cars.

For these reasons the LHA would not raise any objections to the proposed development.
