This site is situated within the City Centre Conservation Area (adopted March 2022). It is subject to the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 and guided by policies within Chapter 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework (updated 2023) and Policy DEV21 of the Plymouth and Southwest Devon Joint Local Plan (adopted 2019) as well as guidance within the City Centre Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (CAAMP) (adopted 2022).The proposals include the internal illumination of the shop front sign, specifically the Sun which is the logo of the applicant.
We do not support any illumination of the sign as per the guidance for signage in the CAAMP.
