Further to the provision of detailed information regarding the hoppers at Norbury Court, 10 Craigie Drive (NHLE No: 1113296) I am content that there is now sufficient information to proceed.

Proposals are to repair and replace cast-iron rainwater goods that are now in a poor condition, thereby resulting to damage to the Grade 2* listed structure. Whilst the replacements will not be an exact "like-for-like", they will be visually similar and to present industry standards for rainwater goods, meeting future capacities of rainwater run off in a changing climate. Furthermore, the information now supplied by the applicant in terms of type, location and dimensions assist in providing an historic record of the hoppers and can be archived. The works thus enhance the life of the building and can be seen to be in the public benefit.

In conclusion, we believe the works outlined in the supporting documentation to be justified in heritage terms and are within Principles 1, 2, and 4 of the Millfields Conservation Area Management Plan and are compliant with NPPF Chapter 16 and Policy DEV21 in the Plymouth and Southwest Devon Joint Local Plan.
