Dear Jon

Highway Authority Consultation Response to a Planning Application

APPLICATION NO: 24/01310/CDM

SITE: LAND AT CLOWANCE STREET, DEVONPORT, PLYMOUTH

DEVELOPMENT: Application to discharge condition 5 (relocation of bus stop) of approval 21/01895/FUL

Observations:

I refer to the details that have been submitted for the discharge of condition 5 (relating to the relocation of the existing bus stop) and would wish to make the following comments:

' In order to prevent vehicles from potentially parking kerbside and obstructing access to the bus stop build-out, a short section of double yellow lines will be required to run adjacent to the kerb line between the build-out and the existing traffic calming hump on Clowance Street. The applicant will be required to fund the TRO associated with such.

' A new bus stop pole and flag will be required at the new bus stop location, the final position of such to be agreed on-site by the LHA.

The applicant should be reminded that these works will necessitate a Section 278 Agreement and that no works shall take place within the adopted highway until that associated Agreement is signed and in place.
Subject to the above-mentioned comments being addressed, I will then be in a position to recommend that discharge of Condition 5.

Recommendation:

The Highway Authority recommends that Condition 5 should not be discharged until the above-mentioned comments have been addressed.
