PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL CONSULTEE COMMENTS FOR A PLANNING APPLICATION.

APPLICATION SUMMARY
PLANNING APPLICATION: 24/01473/S73
ADDRESS: 1 - 47 (Odds) Alcester Close, Plymouth, PL2 1EA
DESCRIPTION: Application to remove Conditions, 4 Residential Travel Plan, and 6 Fence Details, of planning decision notice 22/00652/S73.

CASE OFFICER: Jon Fox (Planning Officer)
Development Management, PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ.

CONSULTEE: Gary Lester (Transport Officer)
PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Transport Planning Team, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ.

Date: 12th December 2024

COMMENTS:
The Local Highway Authority (LHA) would not wish to raise any objections in principle to this proposal to remove Planning Conditions 4 (of application 22/00652/S73) that required the operation of a Residential Travel Plan. Based on the rational put forward in the application (form) details. That, in short, the development has retained four of the six garages that were initially intended to be removed. Also stating that the garages are smaller in size than the current standard, making it difficult for them to accommodate some modern cars. Whilst noting that the garages are not assigned to individual dwellings at Alcester Close, therefore suggesting that the loss of the two garages would have minimal impact with no noticeable effect on traffic or parking in the area.

SUMMARY:
The LHA would not wish to raise any objections to the proposed removal of Planning Conditions 4 that required the operation of a Residential Travel Plan.
