PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL CONSULTEE COMMENTS FOR A PLANNING APPLICATION.

APPLICATION SUMMARY
PLANNING APPLICATION: 24/01675/FUL
ADDRESS: Old Tree Court, 64 Exeter Street, Plymouth PL4 0AJ.
DESCRIPTION: Alterations to south eastern entrance and associated landscaping.

CASE OFFICER: Sam Lewis (Planning Officer)
Development Management, PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ

CONSULTEE: Gary Lester (Transport Officer)
PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Transport Planning Team, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ

Date: 29th January 2025

COMMENTS:
The Local Highway Authority (LHA) would not wish to raise any objections in principle to the proposed alterations to the south eastern pedestrian entrance with associated landscaping, that is situated off Brentonside, close to its junction of Exeter Street.

The alterations to improve and enhance the pedestrian entrance area would be within the bounds of the private site without any impact on the public footway.

Incidentally though, due to the close proximity of the public footway and access therefrom, in order to carry any consented construction works to and around the entrance, an Access to Site Permit would be needed from the Councils Highways department, Plymouth Highways.

SUMMARY:
The LHA would not raise any objections to the proposed alterations to the pedestrian access, for which the following informative is recommended:

INFORMATIVE: ACCESS TO SITE PERMIT
() Due to the close proximity and access there from the public footway, prior to any works to the entrance staring an Access to Site Permit would need to be obtained from the Local Highway Authority. The permit may be obtained from the Councils Street Services, Network Managers at (plymouthhighways.gov.uk).
