PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL CONSULTEE COMMENTS FOR A PLANNING APPLICATION.

APPLICATION SUMMARY
PLANNING APPLICATION: 25/00086/FUL
ADDRESS: 45 Estover Road, Plymouth, PL6 7PR.
DESCRIPTION: Erection of Waste Water Treatment Plant.

CASE OFFICER: Macauley Potter (Planning Officer)
Development Management, PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ

CONSULTEE: Gary Lester (Transport Officer)
PCC Strategic Planning & Infrastructure, Transport Planning Team, Floor 2 Ballard House PL1 3BJ

Date: 30th January 2025

COMMENTS:
The Local Highway Authority (LHA) would not wish to raise any objections in principle to the proposed erection of a small Wastewater Treatment Plant building, within the grounds and to the rear of the main Mars Wriggly factory, served by the existing factory access arrangements from Estover Road.

The Wastewater Treatment Plant would be contained within the building and site and would not discharge to surrounding ground or watercourses.

The proposed development is expected to result in a significant net reduction in the number of HGV's using the factory site. Where currently wastewater is collected from the factory three times per day, whilst the resulting new process would only require one collection per week, helping to reduce vehicle movements on the local road network.

SUMMARY:
The LHA would not wish to raise any objections to the proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant at the application site.
