Thank you for asking Historic Environment to comment upon this pre-application enquiry.The proposals for alterations to building facades and associated works to the Rolle Building are within proximity to a cluster of Grade 2 listed buildings at Portland Villas. We do not anticipate that the proposed changes to the Rolle Building, in particular the chosen colour of the new facades, will cause harm to the setting, significance or special interest of these buildings.
Consequently, we are content that proposals, as they stand, would be compliant with the tests laid out in the Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan Policy DEV21 and Chapter 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
