Dear Joanna
Highway Authority Consultation Response to a Planning Application
APPLICATION NO: 25/00552/FUL
SITE: LAND ADJACENT TO ROUNDABOUT, WILLIAM PRANCE ROAD, PLYMOUTH
DEVELOPMENT: Temporary construction compound
Observations:
Having reviewed the transport statement submitted in support of this application, it would appear that all of the GI surveys will take overnight and therefore in respect of journeys being made to and from the temporary construction compound, these would take place outside of the traditional peak traffic hours on the local road network. It is also noted that the actual number of journeys is relatively low in any case.
In view of the comments made above, the LHA would not wish to raise any objections to this application from a highway viewpoint. In view of this being a temporary facility (seeking consent for a maximum of 9 months), I would not wish to impose conditions relating to the marking-out and surfacing of the car park although this would have been necessary if the applicant had been seeking the provision of such for a greater period of time.
Recommendation:
The Highway Authority has no objections to planning permission being granted.
